September 2011
From the northeast corner to the southwest entrance to the site, walk along with us as we tour the progress being made in September.
As shown in the video, holes must be drilled to receive and seat the vertical rods which are slowly becoming a "forest". There are no sounds of diesel engines or "back-up" beepers, but the work proceeds intensely as the blocks are sorted out and carried to their assigned location.
Just happened by in time to watch the Sky Trak operator load in another batch of blocks, transferring them from the parking lot to the work site.
Well, visited.

It was November 3, 2001, and the group toured the Florida Southern campus as well the South Lake Morton Historic District which surrounds the college. Our home, a 1928 bungalow, was part of that tour and my wife, Phyllis was General Manager of the event company (Palette Productions) that staged the conference dinner at The Lakeland Center.

Glad I saved the video.
